♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Hoff’s Grill, home of the city’s famous grilled pork sandwiches and other southern style delights, was the victim Tuesday night of a “burglary-forcible entry” at 1621 W. Innes Street. The burglars cut through a lock on the backdoor and entered there.  They moved swiftly to carry off the safe (valued at $500) and $971 cash.  The lock damage was assessed at $200.  The break-in appeared to be professionally done–no rocking or no stopping to sample the food (among Salisbury’s top 5 lunch spots according to RFP Staff which includes Jeter’s, Sidewalk Delhi, El Patron, and Il Colosseo).  The crime was reported to 911 Dispatch and drew investigators quickly to the grill.

At this time no suspects have been mentioned.
