Salisbury: Three Teenagers Arrested Wednesday on Boyden Road for Allegedly Stealing a Van from the Parking Lot of J.F. Hurley Family YMCA

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Tyjae Nickilli Polk, 16, of Lincolnton Road, Antonio Shahid Engram, 16, of Tabernacle Street, and a male minor were arrested Wednesday at 6:52 p.m. at 1000 Boyden Road for allegedly stealing a white Honda Odyessy Van from the J.F. Hurley Family YMCA parking lot on 828 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.

Earlier the three teenagers were allegedly spotted rummaging through lockers inside the YMCA hunting for car keys and were seen on the Y’s security camera video climbing into a white Honda Odyssey van and driving it away.

The van’s theft was reported by the owner after she came out to the lot and noted the van wasn’t where she parked it.  Not long afterwards a Sheriff’s deputy spotted the van and saw 3 teenagers scatter from it.

Word traveled quickly from 911 Dispatch. The 3 teenagers were seen walking near 1000 Boyden Road where they were questioned and then arrested.

Polk was previously arrested in August 2017 for allegedly breaking and entering and larceny (felony) after breaking and entry.
