♦ According to Salisbury Police Sources Yesterday’s Walmart Shooter, yet to be identified, is still at-large. Dijimon Antoniq Lucas, 20, of 1508 Forest Street in Highpoint the shooting victim, who received a superficial bullet wound to the left butt cheek, was arrested yesterday at 1030 Freeland Drive for allegedly possessing a stolen vehicle and for failing to appear/comply in Guilford County for an alleged February breaking and entering.

Sources claim that Lucas and his friend Tesfalem Gebre Medhin, 33, of 202 Windy Street, Highpoint got into a shouting match with two other persons over a Walmart parking space.  After Lucas and Medhin went into the store to shop and came back out, they got a dose of Salisbury style hospitality–a vehicle pulled up beside them and fired off 6 rounds at the pair.  Lucas is fortunate to be walking around with only his stinging left butt.

When an officer checked out the license plate on the 2005 White Chevvy Malibu it matched up in the computer as stolen.  They caught up with Lucas parked outside of Papa John’s at 1030 Freeland Drive and took him into custody. Under a secured $20,500 bond, Lucas is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.  Medhin, who was detained briefly and released, said he did not know the car was stolen.

Police are hunting for the shooter said to be from Salisbury.
