Salisbury: The City of Salisbury’s Customer Service Center, on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Duped by Counterfeit Currency Friday

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources the City of Salisbury, N.C. was the victim of “all other Counterfeiting” when an employee at City’s Customer Service Center at 1415 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue was duped by customer passing a $100 dollar counterfeit bill sometime between May 6th and May 7th.  It is not known at this time if the counterfeit currency was being used to pay for a Fibrant bill or if it was being passed to the city’s “cash cow” Rowan-Salisbury Utilities.  The crime was reported to 911 Dispatch at 9:13 a.m. Friday and sent tremors through the “House that Karen Alexander Built (Dr. Alexander’s architectural part went $190,000 plus over budget according to city FOIAs)
