Salisbury: Stranger Brutally Beats a Man with a Club or Hammer Thursday Morning on Kenly Street. Victim Sustains Severe Lacerations

♦ Salisbury Police source report that Terry Dewayne Mitchell, 46, living at 316 Moore Street in East Spencer, was the victim of an “assault-other dangerous weapon” when a stranger came out of the darkness at 1216 Kenly Street and jumped Mitchell with a club or hammer, beating him and severely lacerating his head and face.  The crime was reported to 911 Dispatch at 1:02 a.m. and brought police vehicles onto the 1200 block of Kenly Street.

No arrests have been reported in the case. No motive for the attack is known.
