Update Salisbury: Man Arrested for Alleged Impaired Driving Thursday Afternoon and Creating a 4-Car Wreck on the 2400 Block of E. Innes St.

♦ According to Salisbury Police and Salisbury Fire Department sources Danny Lee Logan, 39, of 635 Lippard Street in Salisbury, was arrested Thursday at 3:17 p.m. and cited with the  charge of driving while impaired in a 4-car wreck in the 2400 block of East Innes Street near Rudolf Road.  Logan, an IHOP cook, allegedly was driving a 1991 Ford Mustang that crossed the center line of East Innes Street and smashed into a 2001 Toyota and a 2013 Honda.  A 4th vehicle was also struck.

According to persons in the area the collision could be heard for a distance. Clearing the wreckage from the 2400 block of E. Innes Street shutdown traffic for part of Thursday afternoon.

Logan and Vassiliki Kalerogeromitros from Rockwell were taken by emergency vehicles to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center and later to one of the Baptist Hospitals in Winston-Salem.  Logan at last report was in allegedly serious, but stable condition.  Vassilki Kalogeromitros is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Salisbury Fire Department firefighters had to free two victims from the heavily damaged vehicles.
