♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Salisbury’s top cop Chief Jerry Stokes, 56, famous for making dramatic statistical inroads in violent and property crime by deploying “magical statistics”, was victimized Tuesday afternoon by a car break-in at his weekday home at 230 W. Thomas Street.  The crime of “larceny-from a motor vehicle” was reported at 1:44 p.m. to 911 Dispatch and brought officers to his home. Stolen from his 2008 Nissan Sentra was an Apple IPhone 3 (valued at $150).

The case is not being pursued by the Salisbury Police.
