♦ A pile of unsolved murders remain in Salisbury including Ayanna Allen’s in 2016 and Reesa Dawn Trexler’s on N. Shaver Street from way back.  People’s homes are still being shot-up in the underserved West End.  Were the bullets from young men riding through the neighborhood like Saturday night cowboys, guns blazing for some excitement?  Errant bullets from a running gunfight?  Or payback time for a snitch or a disrespect.  Nothing quite like bullets tearing through your walls and shattering your windows while adrenalin pounds through you and your mouth goes dry.  You’re on the floor in crawling through the darkness looking for a safer interior wall.  Where’s your kids? You call for them in a loud whisper.  Another round hits the wall few feet behind you. Someone is calling your son’s name out in the street…

According to Salisbury Police sources Erica Marie Johnston, 33, a resident of Mahaley Avenue, was the victim of an “all other shooting into an occupied property” at 1119 W. Bank Street on Wednesday.  The shooting was said to be from an undetermined firearm.  While mercifully no one was wounded or killed this time, there was damage to the front door ($200) and an interior wall ($100). The crime was reported to 911 Dispatch at 10:16 p.m.

No descriptions of the suspect(s) have been issued.
