Updated! Salisbury: Man Dies of Gunshot Wounds Early Saturday Morning After Being Shot at the FishZilla Arcade on East Innes Street

**Updated: Tuesday April 24th this homicide case has been turned over to the Rowan County District Attorney’s Office to review and to decide if any charges will be filed.**

Salisbury Police sources report that James Christopher Davis, 45, an employee of Fishzilla Arcade for the past 3 months from Albemarle, N.C., died from gunshot wounds from a shooting inside the Fishzilla Arcade at 1812 E. Innes Street.  Officers received a 911 dispatch at 1:18 p.m. and arrived to find Mr. Davis still alive and the alleged shooter still on the premises.  Davis was transported to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center by EMS where he was pronounced dead 3:23 a.m.

Salisbury Police detectives were joined by the N.C. SBI investigators at the scene where they questioned the shooter and other witnesses as well as gathered evidence.

No charges have been filed at the time of this writing.  According to sources the investigation is still continuing and additional information about this case will be released as soon as it becomes available.

This is the 2nd Salisbury homicide since Eugene Milton Chunn, 75, was beaten to death inside his home on April 19th, 2018.
