♦ Forcible and unlawful entries appear to be on the upswing throughout Salisbury in the first quarter of 2018.  Burglars are hitting homes and businesses all hours of the day.  It is important to have secure locks, windows, and doors, and an electronic security alarm system.  Homeowner’s insurance is quite important because we never know when the front door suddenly comes flying off the hinges and valuables are wheeled out to an awaiting van or truck.  You can be ransacked and cleaned out within a few minutes time.

According to Salisbury Police sources Robin Theresa Williams, 42, of Burma Road in Salem Virginia, was the victim of a “burglary-forcible entry” on Monday afternoon when burglars broke in through a side door by smashing a glass window with a blunt object (hammer, bat, rock etc.) and hauling away a high-end Samsung clothes washer (valued at $1,300) and a stereo unit (valued at $100).   The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 3:40 p.m.
