♦ As many of our readers and law abiding citizens of Salisbury know, there exists a multitude of persons with criminal records dwelling on the streets of Salisbury, N.C.  They hunker down in abandoned houses and buildings, in crawl spaces and basements beneath homes, in tarp cities by the Town Creek, under I-85 bridges, and in shelters.  Some show up as miscellaneous bodies found from drug overdoses or as gnawed on bones in wooded areas or amid dense Kudzu overgrowth by the side of roads.  Some have lived this way for years and others recently arrived here via I-85 crime tourism.  You may have experienced their presence when you found your car broken into or even your home.  Perhaps you’ve witnessed these folks stuffing meat into their coats at Food Lion or Walmart?  They provide much of Salisbury’s misdemeanor crime or worse.  One of their legion allegedly stumbled into the arms of the law on Thursday morning at Lowe’s Home improvement at 207 Faith Road.
