Fire at Salisbury Police Department HQ Sunday Morning. Salisbury Fire Department Responds and Puts Out Fire in SPD Parking Garage

♦ According to Salisbury Fire Department and Salisbury Police Department sources a fire was reported around 8 a.m. Sunday at the Salisbury Police Department HQ’s parking garage at 140 E. Liberty Street in Salisbury.  The SFD’s first Battalion responded rapidly to the scene where smoke could be observed pouring out the garage area.  The fire source was located in the sprinkler control room, quickly contained, and knocked down. Fire damage was minimal.  The firefighters then cleared the smoke from the garage area. 

The fire’s likely cause was electrical in nature.

No injuries were sustained.
