Maurice “Mouth” Peck Arrested Sunday on N. Salisbury Avenue in Granite Quarry for Allegedly Assaulting an Officer with a Deadly Weapon

♦ According to Granite Quarry Police and Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources Maurice Eugene Peck, 49, AKA “Mouth”, “Dog”, and “Reece”, living on the Streets of Salisbury and a convicted felon, was arrested on Sunday during a traffic stop around 9:40 p.m.  Peck was pulled over for a number of outstanding warrants and earned new charges including alleged assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer (felony) and resist/obstruct/delay not aggravated (misdemeanor).  Peck has 6 different charges and likely more to come due to an undetermined amount of drugs being seized.  Under a secured $34,500 bond, Peck is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

The Granite Quarry Police were assisted by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office during this crime investigation.
