♦ Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources report that Rowan’s Teen King of Vehicle Break-ins Anthony Mason Cunningham, 18, of French Lane in Salisbury, was arrested Friday at 11:52 a.m. for allegedly breaking into multiple vehicles at night. The vehicular break-ins occurred in the Mt. Hope Church Road and Highway 152 East area between Rockwell and China Grove. Over a two week span in January victims reported finding their vehicles broken into and their money, wallets, purses clothes, and tools stolen. In one instance firearms were removed from a vehicle. Allegedly the modus operandi appeared strikingly similar to the handiwork of Anthony Mason Cunningham.

Convicted of vehicular break-ins, Cunningham’s probation expired.

A search warrant was issued for Cunningham’s French Lane residence where deputies allegedly seized evidence linking him to the China Grove and Rockwell area crimes. He was arrested Friday and charged with 17 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, 2 counts of larceny (felony), and a charge of larceny of a firearm (felony). More charges are being added. Under a secured $60,000 bond, Cunningham is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. His first hearing is on Monday February 5th.
