Arrested!: WANTED by the Salisbury Police: Richard Macon Dunn of Lexington for the Alleged Knife Robbery at Family Dollar January 30th

**Updated!: Dunn, was arrested last night in Forsyth County and charged with driving while impaired and fleeing to elude arrest. It not known yet when he will be returned to Salisbury and several other cities to face Charges.**

Salisbury Police have obtained robbery with a dangerous weapon warrants on Richard Macon Dunn, 32, of Lexington for the Alleged January 30th knife robbery of Family Dollar at 410 E. Innes Street in Salisbury.

Dunn was last known to be driving a black 2014 Ford Fusion with the NC license plate: ELY-1280.

Dunn is a white male, 6’3” tall and approximately 215 pounds. He has a mustache and goatee and wears glasses. The right side of the glasses may be broken.

Later today we learned Dunn is also wanted today by the Lexington Police in Lexington for an alleged robbery today January 31st. The alleged robbery happened around 5:15 a.m. when Dunn entered a 7-Eleven convenience store at 1709 Cotton Grove Road, threatened the clerk with a knife, and demanded money. Dunn allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store’s register and fled the 7-Eleven in a black 2014 Ford Fusion.

Dunn is also a suspect in similar robberies in Thomasville and at Dairy Queen in Danville, Va.

Prior to allegedly robbing the Family Dollar at 410 E. Innes St, Dunn reportedly ate in the Waffle House at 501 E. Innes Street and walked out without paying.

We learned this morning from an RFP reader that Dunn is a Drug and Alcohol Councilor in Lexington, N.C.

“According to Salisbury Police sources the Family Dollar, at 410 E. Innes Street, and Shannon Mudge, living on Keck Street in Salisbury, were victims of a “Robbery-Knife” Tuesday just before noon. The robber, a white male, armed with a knife and wearing a pullover sweater, glasses, and sporting a beard, brandished a knife and demanded money from a store employee.
