Salisbury: Break-in Sunday Morning at the Speedway Convenience Store on W. Jake Alexander Blvd. 3 Cash Drawers Gone

♦ With business break-ins and unlawful entries on the rise in Salisbury, N.C., business owners ask “Whose next?”  The odds are high if you are a convenience store owner that you will have an unwelcome visit.  Money is always available and the Burglars and convenience store robbers know these spots offer ready access to highways.  The big problem is security cameras that a mask, a quick change of clothes, and a stolen vehicle can cure.

According to Salisbury Police sources the Speedway convenience store at 827 W. Jake Alexander Boulevard was the victim of a “burglary-forcible entry” early Sunday morning.  3 cash drawers (valued at $100) were stolen.  A window was smashed with a blunt object (rock, hammer, club, etc.) to gain entry.  The window damage was assessed at $200.  The suspect(s) fled the area in a red Pontiac Grand Am.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 2:12 a.m.
