♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Lareesha Antwonique Barnett, 24, of Salisbury was arrested at Big Lots at 711 E. Innes Street for allegedly 2 counts of larceny by an employee (felony) at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday.  She was alleged to have helped herself to $300.  Under a secured $2,000 bond, Barnett was held in the Rowan County Detention Center until her release on bail.

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources the Country Cupboard on 2010 Statesville Boulevard was the victim of “embezzlement” on Monday. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 3:53 p.m.
