♦ Saturday was a full day with N.C. Rep Carl Ford and Rowan County Commissioner Craig Pierce as they traveled across the county in Carl Ford’s faithful silver truck “Bucky” first to Salisbury to the Republican Breakfast at the Palm’s Restaurant on West Innes Street, then to Cleveland Christmas Parade with its marching bands and floats, and finally capping the Yuletide festivities in the beautiful town of China Grove, N.C. for their annual Christmas Tree Lighting with caroling, dignitaries, and great family fun.

China Grove’s giant awe inspiring Christmas Tree decked out with an amazing light display. Where were the Forest Rangers when they cut this beauty down and took off:

Children and their parents gathered around the now fully lit tree as carolers sang and a lonesome poor-will joined in nearby. Christmas was only 23 days away and Santa was asking “who had been naughty and nice?”:

The crowd continued to swell through the Christmas festivities in China Grove:
