Rockwell: Rodney Hardin Busted Monday Night by Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Investigators for Meth Trafficking. $1 Million Plus Bail Set

♦ Rodney Neil Hardin, 39, of 2501 Windswept Way in Rockwell, N.C., was arrested Monday night by Rowan County Sheriff’s Office investigators at his home after a 4 month long investigation involving alleged meth trafficking and stolen goods. Under a secured $1,005,000 bond, Hardin is locked away in the Rowan County Detention Center.

During warranted searches of the Windswept Way residence on October 2nd and November 27th, investigators allegedly seized 646 grams of meth, 2.7 grams of cocaine, 0.5 grams of heroin, 3 handguns, and nearly $8,000 dollars in cash. Hardin, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing a firearm. It was also uncovered by investigators that Hardin was involved in manufacturing meth at his home. A 2 one-pot “shake and bake” lab and an HCL generator were found at the home.

It was determined by investigators that Hardin allegedly was responsible for approximately 73 lbs. of meth was brought into Rowan County from Georgia. The meth’s value was reported to be $730,000.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the SBI, The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Salisbury Police Department.
