♦ According to press releases and the wire services Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc., the casual dining roast beef chain, is set to acquire Buffalo Wild Wings one of the nation’s leading wing and sports bar chains.  Arby’s is reported they will pay $157 per share. This offer is a 7% premium to Buffalo Wild Wings Inc.’s Monday closing price of $146.40 per share.

Arby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings place the value of the transaction at $2.9 billion dollars, debt included.  When the deal closes, Buffalo Wild Wings will be a privately held subsidiary of Arby’s and will continue to operate as an independent brand. This means Buffalo Wild Wings will operate their sports wing bars as it has.

The Arby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings deal is expected to close in 2018’s first quarter.  The deal still requires the approval of Buffalo Wild Wings shareholders.

In premarket trading Buffalo Wild Wings jumped more than 6%.

The ultra popular Buffalo Wild Wings sports bar and wing spot is located at 1519 E. Innes in Salisbury.
