Salisbury: Armed Robbery Friday Evening at Rite Aid Pharmacy at 640 W. Jake Alexander Boulevard

♦ Over the past 12 months Salisbury pharmacies taken a drubbing at the hands of armed bandits.  Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS have all suffered losses of large amounts of opioid painkillers such as OxyContin and Hydrocodone and cash. Some robbers show guns while many just show notes and try to con their way with cloth wrapped hands or gestures to bulges in their hoodie sweatshirts.  Salisbury’s and Rowan County’s opioid epidemic needs to fed.

According to Salisbury Police sources Rite Aid Pharmacy, at 640 W. Jake Alexander Boulevard was the victim of a “robbery-firearm” when a robber entered the store and handed pharmacy personnel a note.  The type of firearm was unknown.  At the time of this writing an assessment of product or cash stolen had not been made.

No injuries were reported or description of the robber is yet available.

This is the third robbery this year of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 640 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. It was previously robbed in May and October.

In the future we hope to show security camera stills as soon as they are released.
