Salisbury: Woman Strong Arm Robbed Friday on Pearl Street for $55 // Douglas Young Busted Allegedly for Cocaine at Speedway on W. Jake

♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Nailing Tucker, 59, a woman living at 301 Pearl Street in Salisbury was the victim of a “robbery-strong arm no weapon” and “assault-simple physical” on Friday when a stranger roughed her up on her property and forced her to hand over $55 in cash.  No injuries were recorded.  Back on October the 23rd the Tucker home suffered a burglary for firearms and expensive musical instruments and in February the Tuckers we burglarized for over $12,000 and 5 firearms. Friday’s crime was reported to 911 Dispatch at 4:03 p.m.

The crime remains under investigation.  No description of the strong arm robber is yet provided.  The suspect left in a silver/gray BMW.

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Douglas Antonio Young AKA “Fresh”, 38, of 1005 Stanley Street, was arrested in the Speedway Parking lot at 827 W. Jake Alexander Boulevard after being pulled over on Saturday at 9:52 p.m.  The driver of the vehicle, Shelly Robinson, was alleged to be driving with an expired tag and was issued a citation. Young, seated on the passenger side, was arrested for alleged multiple felony drug charges involving cocaine and several misdemeanor charges for marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

After a brief search of Young and a bag allegedly belonging him, officers reportedly seized 3 grams of crack rocks, a package of crack rock, less than a gram of cocaine powder, 5 hydrocodone pills (A synthetic opioid painkiller), two marijuana roaches, drug paraphernalia, and $142 in cash.

Under a secured $15,000 bond, Young is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
