In the 2016 FBI UCR report of Offenses Known to Law Enforcement by City, 2016, Salisbury, NC is number one in both murder and arson per capita (per 1,000 people) in cities with populations of 25,000 and above.

How does Salisbury’s Crime rank among NC Cities with populations of 25,000 and above?

RFP ranked Salisbury among NC cities that reported crime to the FBI, and we found the following rankings per capita (per 1,000 people):

Murder and Non-negligent Manslaughter – 1st

Violent Crime – 2nd after Goldsboro 1st

Rape – 10th

Robbery – 3rd after Charlotte 1st and Goldsboro 2nd

Aggravated Assault – 2nd after Goldsboro 1st

Property Crime – 4th

Burglary – 2nd, after Goldsboro 1st

Larceny-theft – 7th

Motor Vehicle Theft – 7th

Arson – 1st
