Sheriff’s Office and Spencer Police Bust Bernard Wilkes, Jr. and Trent Hoover Tuesday Allegedly for Heroin

♦ According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources the Rowan County Sheriffs Office along with the Spencer Police executed a search warrant on a suspected house at 605 5th Street in Spencer on Tuesday following a four month drug investigation focused on heroin distribution allegedly going on at the residence.  Quantities of heroin were purchased undercover investigators from Bernard Franklin Wilkes, Jr., 32.  The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) conducted the warranted search.

Outside the 5th Street residence approximately 4.1 grams of heroin were found in a vehicle driven by Wilkes parked in front of the house.  Trent Barry Hoover, 44, was allegedly found to possess approximately 2 grams of heroin.

Under a secured $500,000 bond, Wilkes is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Under a secured $5,000 bond, Hoover is in the Rowan County Detention Center.
