Salisbury: Maple Ave. Burglary Monday Nets $1,400 in Damages and $200 in Valuables // N. Church Street Burglary Monday Scores a $372 TV

♦ Burglaries and break-ins in Salisbury, N.C. are not actually sprees, but in reality they are daily occurrences in a city under criminal siege.

According to Salisbury Police sources Herbert Combs, 65, living at 930 Maple Avenue, was a victim of a “burglary-forcible entry” and “vandalism” on Monday, October 23rd when a burglar(s) employed a blunt object (rock, hammer, club etc.) to break a glass door panel on his back door to gain entry.  The burglary added up to the loss of a Gateway computer (valued at $200), and damages to Sony 48″ TV (valued at $800) and a damaged backdoor glass (valued at $600).  The burglar left behind empty beer cans which may provide prints and DNA.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 5:30 p.m.

At this time no suspects have been named.

Church Street, was the victim of a “burglary-forcible entry” on Monday, October 23rd when a burglar(s) used bodily force on his home’s backdoor to enter.  The burglar stole a Sony 40 inch color TV (valued at 372) and damaged the backdoor (valued at $200).  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 6:34 p.m.

At this time no arrests have been made and no suspects named.
