At 2:46 a.m. Boyd, driving a White Dodge Caravan, was stopped by deputies on 65000 I-85 South near China Grove. Boyd and his Dodge vehicle matched the description employees provided at Love’s. Boyd allegedly apologized for stealing the items, explaining he got into an argument with his girlfriend and needed to sell the items to get up money for a motel room. The report said Boyd smelled of alcohol. Currently he’s bedding down at the Rowan County Detention Center under a secured $10,000 bond.
