♦ According to Salisbury Police sources the Rushco #2 convenience store, at 2480 Statesville Boulevard, was the victim of a “robbery-firearm” when an armed robber forced a clerk to open a cash register on Sunday evening and turn over $91 in cash.  The robber had something wrapped around his hand as if it contained a gun.  He told a female clerk to give him the money or he’d shoot her. The robber fled the store with both the cash and the cash register (valued at $350) and took off from the lot in a black Ford Explorer SUV.  No injuries were reported.  An undetermined firearm was employed. The crime was reported to dispatch at 7:19 p.m. and the Salisbury Police soon arrived on the lot. At this time a person of interest is being sought.
