Elija-wn Oglesby, Sought by the Salisbury Police for the Alleged Murder of Kornell Cook, Surrendered to the Salisbury Police Monday Night

Updated: Elija-wn Unique Oglesby, 18, surrendered Monday Night to the Salisbury Police Department and was charged with murder (first degree) and discharging a firearm into occupied property officer inside.

Under no bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.  His first court appearance will be Thursday, August 31.


♦ The Salisbury Police are now seeking Elija-wn Unique Oglesby, 18, whose last known address was 910 S. Jackson St., for the alleged murder of Kornell Marquis Cook, 24, on Sunday August 27th at the Brenner Crossing Apartments at 642 Williams Street in Salisbury.

Believed to be in the Salisbury area, Oglesby is said to be armed and dangerous.  Do not attempt to apprehend.
