Salisbury: 67 Year-Old Man Brutally Beaten During Strong Arm Robbery Monday Night on Ridge Avenue

♦ Salisbury Police Sources report that Ressie Wright, 67, of 211 Ridge Avenue was the victim of “robbery-strong arm no weapon” and “assault (aggravated) hands, feet, fist (sexual motives)” on the street by 124 Ridge Avenue on Monday evening.  The aggravated assault was described as brutal in the police event report and Wright sustained severe lacerations from the beating.  A ten dollar wallet was stolen during the robbery.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 9:59 p.m. and brought a police response to the area.

The crime remains under investigation. No description of the suspect(s) is yet available.
