♦ Gas Station convenience stores are easy pickings in Salisbury with unarmed staff, always something in the registers and safes, and cigarettes to grab on the way out the door along with a bag full of snacks.

Salisbury Police sources report the Rushco convenience store #4 at 1518 East Innes Street was the victim of a “robbery-firearm” when a robber(s) entered the front door and approached an employee.  It is not known at this time if the robber(s) showed a firearm or made a threat.  In any event the robber(s) helped themselves to $148 in cash (See the manifest below) and left through the front door.  A call went out to 911 dispatch at 4:27 a.m. and officers arrived on the scene a short time later.

Manifest of stolen items from Police Event Report:

No injuries were reported.  It’s hoped security cameras produced some decent footage to help identify the criminal(s)

The case remains open.  As yet no suspects have been named or arrests made. Hopefully we’ll obtain a description of the robber(s).
