♦ Businesses, homes, and vehicles are being broken into at a high rate throughout the spring and summer months in Salisbury.  Fewer experiences are more dispiriting than arriving in the morning at your business or home and finding broken glass in your doorway or finding the front door battered off its hinges.  Then when the lights go on…

Salisbury Police sources report that the popular N. Main eatery Richard’s BBQ, owned by Richard Monroe, 64, at 522 N. Main Street, was the victim of a burglary-forcible entry early Sunday morning.  The burglar(s) broke the glass in the side door/exit to make their entry.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 4:45 a.m.  Aside from $1,000 worth of damage done to the door, no items were listed yet as stolen.

The case remains under investigation.  No suspects have been named at this time.
