♦ Gunfire continues to be heard all over Salisbury especially in the evenings.  Muggings, burglaries, vandalisms, stolen vehicles, car break-ins, armed and strong arm robberies, retail pilferage, and expensive vandalisms continue to plague Salisbury with little let up. People in some neighborhoods still fear being seen as snitches because of the gang presence in their locales. A key driver in much area crime continues to be Salisbury’s epidemic of heroin, meth, crack, and alcohol abuse.

Salisbury Police sources report that Billy Ray Allison, 62, living at 1620 N. Lee Street in Salisbury, was a victim of an “all other shooting into an occupied property” where he lived on Tuesday July 11th.  A call to 911 dispatch at 10:24 p.m. brought officers to residence where they reported home’s exterior wall (valued at $200) was damaged by gunfire as was a Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV (damage estimated at $400).   Mercifully no one on the property was injured by the shooting.  The shooter, using an undetermined firearm, was unknown to the occupant. The shooting appeared intentional.
