Salisbury: Antwonet Cook Arrested Friday for the Alleged May Strong Arm Robbery and Assault on a Man by Marco’s Pizza on E. Innes Street

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Antwonet Mesha Cook, 18, of the Streets of Salisbury, was arrested Friday, June 30th at 2:05 a.m. at 630 E. Monroe Street for an alleged May 12th strong arm robbery and assault on Brandon Lee Clontz, 18, at 413 E. Innes Street.

Cook was charged with common law robbery (felony) and assault inflicting serious injury (misdemeanor). Under a secure $15,000 bond, she is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Salisbury Police sources reported in May that Brandon Lee Clontz, 18, of Carolina Boulevard in Salisbury, was the victim of a “robbery-strong arm no weapon” on the street at 413 E. Innes Street on Friday May 12th.  Overwhelmed and shoved around by his assailant who he allegedly knew, Clontz was forced to handover $65 in cash, a $30 Alcatel cellphone, a wallet valued at $10, and his N.C. driver’s license/ID valued at $30.  He sustained minor injuries during the strong arm assault.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 10:37 p.m. and the Salisbury Police responded to the call.
