Salisbury: Gunman Fires on Adam Lee Gibson on E. Franklin Street Near MLK, Jr. Avenue Thursday Morning. No Bullets Hit Intended Target

♦ As summer heats up, gun violence appears to be on the increase in the Streets of Salisbury, N.C.  Shootings and street assaults often occur during daylight hours.  Persons venturing into Salisbury are cautioned to remain alert to their surroundings and not to carry much money.

Salisbury police sources report that Adam Lee Gibson, 27, of E. Franklin Street in Salisbury, was the victim of an “assault-gun” on 700 E. Franklin Street near Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.  The shooting was reported to 911 dispatch at 11:03 a.m.  Mercifully Gibson was not struck by any bullets.  According to reports he did not know his assailant. Neighbors allege hearing shots fired.

The case remains open. No motive for the shooting has been revealed and no one has been arrested.
