Salisbury: Wesley Robinson Wounded During Gunfight at S. Fulton and W. McCubbins Streets on Monday Night. Victim Transported to the Hospital

♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Wesley Maurice Robinson, 32, of the 800 block of S. Fulton Street, was the victim of “assault-gun” on S. Fulton Street near the intersection of W. McCubbins Street.  In an alleged exchange of gunfire, Robinson was struck in the arm.  The shooting was reported to 911 dispatch at 8:42 p.m.  Robinson was transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center for treatment. His wound was described as non-life threatening. He was shot with an undetermined handgun. Area residents described the shooting as a drive-by exchange of gunfire. This has not yet been confirmed.

The crime remains under investigation. No motives have been revealed and no suspects named.
