Salisbury: Stephanie Jean Mayberry Arrested Thursday Evening for Alleged Crack Possession and Child Abuse by E. Innes Street Burger King

♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Stephanie Jean Mayberry, 41, of 926  S. Fulton Street, Salisbury was arrested Thursday for alleged crack possession, child abuse, and possession of drug paraphernalia.   Officers pulled Mayberry over for a traffic stop by the Burger King at 824 E. Innes Street at 7:16 P.M.  A search of the vehicle’s interior allegedly turned up crack cocaine, a single Opana ER pill (a powerful opioid painkiller providing extended relief), a single methadone pill (an opioid pill used in the treatment of heroin addiction), and drug paraphernalia (a cut straw and 2 glass pipes).  A child was allegedly reported in the car with drugs.

Stephanie Jean Mayberry:

Mayberry was arrested and charged with counts of possession of control substance schedule II (felony), simple possession of a controlled substance II (misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and child abuse (misdemeanor). Under a secured $3,000 bond, she is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. Her first court appearance is slated for Tuesday April 11th.
