Salisbury: Darius Robertson Arrested Sunday for Alleged Armed Robbery on Wilson Road // Strong Arm Robbery Sunday on S. Jake Alexander Blvd.

♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police report that Darius Marquis Robertson, 25, of 445 Jackson Rd., Rowan County, was arrested Sunday at 1050 Stanley Street for an alleged armed robbery earlier Sunday on Wilson Road.

Robertson allegedly stuck up a stranger Brandon Jones, 23, with a handgun on Wilson Road near Locke Street for $16. The robbery was reported to 911 dispatch at 8:25 p.m.  Jones sustained no injuries. Later when the police came to arrest Robertson on Stanley Street, he put up a struggle when officers attempted to place him in the police vehicle.  Acting erratically, Robertson attempted to flee from the arresting officer before the suspect was captured and taken into custody.

Robertson was charged with robbery with firearm or other dangerous weapons (felony) and resist/delay/obstruct a public officer (misdemeanor). Under a secured $75,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Emily Henderson, 17, of Willow Rd. in Salisbury, was the victim of a robbery — strong arm and assault–simple physical on Sunday at 2127 S. Jake Alexander Boulevard.  The robbery and assault was called into 911 dispatch at 3:02 p.m.  Henderson sustained minor injuries during her assault where she gave up her Apple iPhone 6s  (valued at $800) to the robber.
