♦ If you are still living in Salisbury, keep valuables in your home and have a job, you ought to consider renting an armed security guard to keep tabs on your abode for when you are out.  Make sure your house is made of brick or solid stone, and has steel reinforced doorframe and a steel deadbolt. Above all have a firearm with knockdown power.  If your home is constructed of lightweight and flammable materials, invest in all steel siding.  The city’s massive numbers of repeat felons will bring it to your address when the big roulette wheel in the sky lands on you and your family. Good luck amigo. Remember some settlers survived in Apache territory. Give that 4-leaf clover a big squeeze. Or better yet start sizing up a reputable moving van company.

According to Salisbury Police sources Timothy Tucker, 60, of 301 Pearl Street and Tucker Nailing of the same address were victims of burglary–forcible entry at 301 Pearl Street. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch on Wednesday at 9 a.m. The burglar(s) ransacked the home for 2 shotguns (valued at $1,850), 1 .22-caiber carbine (valued at $300), 2 Bowie knives (valued at $300), 2 revolvers (valued at $1,000), 2 men’s watches (valued at $2,800), 604 baseball cards (valued at $700),  20 Jewelry pieces (valued at $6,000).  The total value of everything stolen was $12,950.

To gain entry the burglars pried open a window.

The case remains under investigation.  No suspects named yet.
