Salisbury: Pearl Street Burglar Grabs $1,230 in Goods Monday // Coin Devices Mangled at Auto Magic Car Wash on W. Jake Alexander Blvd.

♦ Limited gunfire was heard throughout Salisbury the last two days.  However, vehicles and homes were being broken into all over the city and unfortunately persons were victimized by street assaults.  Be alert and aware shopping anywhere in Salisbury–its that time of year.  Keeping your banking indoors and avoid outdoor ATMs.  Parking lots are primo spots for getting jacked up for your handbag or wallet.  Your car is open season too for thieves.

Sources in the Salisbury Police Department report Sarah Young, 27, and Laquanna Blackwell, 28, living on the 100 block Pearl Street, were victims of a burglary–forcible entry.  Their back door was forced open. Damage to the door was estimated at $50.  Two color TVs, a toy, and a number of high-end athletic shoes were taken.  The total estimated value was set at $1,230 for the stolen items.

♦ Salisbury Police Sources report that Auto Magic Car Wash at 721 West Jake Alexander Blvd.  was the victim of a larceny–coin operated device where 2 coin-operated devices on vacuums were jimmied loose with a prying tool.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 1:49 p.m.  The damage to the 2 devices was estimated at $600.
