♦ According to persons, knowledgeable about the Salisbury’s uptick in gun violence and recent tragic murders, the city is on HIGH ALERT for potential gun violence from Friday until Sunday night.  Persons are urged to stay alert, aware, and exercise caution if they must travel into the city this weekend.

**Please note that at no time in the above paragraph did we mention the Salisbury city government saying the city is on High Alert for potential gun violence. We stated that according to persons, knowledgeable about Salisbury’s uptick in gun violence and recent tragic murders, the city is on HIGH ALERT for potential gun violence from Friday until Sunday Night.**

Friday’s EMERGENCY MEETING between the Salisbury City Council and the Rowan County Board of Commissioners will take place Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the City Council chambers at Salisbury’s City Hall.  The two governmental bodies are said to be working out an “interlocal agreement” for public safety due to the Salisbury Police Department understaffing.
