Salisbury: Sprint Store on East Innes Attempted Forced Entry Wednesday // Rowan Gun and Pawn Victim of Burglary–Forced Entry Monday

♦ Home owners and renters are not the only folks picked clean by burglars in Salisbury and Rowan during the holiday season, retail properties are prize plums because they are brimming with stock and cash.  They can be cleaned out in a few minutes by fast working breaking and entry artists looking for money for their next fix.

Salisbury Police sources report that on Wednesday about 3:40 a.m. they received a 911 call that the Sprint Store on 910 E. Innes Street was a victim of a burglary–attempted forcible entry and miscellaneous property damage.  A burglar, employing a shotgun (a highly unusual method for gaining entry), blasted one of the front windows.  The Salisbury Police arrived soon afterwards and the culprit was long.  Total damage to the window was an estimated $400.

At this time are no arrests.

♦ Sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report that Rowan Gun and Pawn, at 7715 U.S. Hwy 52 in Salisbury, N.C. was the victim of a burglary–forcible entry on Monday.  The crime was reported at 9:08 a.m.  Rowan Gun and Pawn is a popular stop for folks hunting for a wide-variety of bargain firearms.  At this time it was not divulged if the any of their stock disappeared.  The store is reputed to be heavily alarmed with reinforced doors.
