UPDATED: Salisbury Double Shooting Saturday Night in a Parking Lot at North Caldwell and West Franklin Streets. Two Men Wounded

♦ Salisbury Police sources report a double shooting occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot near the intersection of North Caldwell and West Franklin Streets.  Two men, identified as Gerald Layton Pinckney, 23, of the of Faith Road in Salisbury and Dondrea Xavier Seaman, 23, N. Ellis Street in Salisbury were reported wounded.  Seaman was reported shot in the leg and Pinckney was shot several times with serious injuries. Both were transported to the hospital by cars. Pickney was later transported by helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem and was reported in serious, but stable condition. Seaman was transported by ambulance to Wake Forest Baptist Health where he was kept overnight, treated and released.

Pinckney and Seaman were shot after an altercation broke out among a group of young men in a parking lot on the 500 block of North Caldwell near the intersection of North Caldwell and and West Franklin Streets. The group rapidly dispersed after the shots were fired.

The area around North Caldwell and West Franklin quickly filled up with police vehicles while investigators poured over the crime scene.

At this time no arrests were made or suspects revealed.
