Running Firefight Sunday Morning Between Young Males on Ivy Street near Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury. Apartment Shot Up

♦ Early Sunday at approximately 1:30 a.m. gunfire could be heard on Ivy Street near Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury.  Neighbors reported a running gunfight between two groups of young black males.  One person alleged between 12 to 15 shots were heard.  No reports of anyone hit.  Police eventually responded to the call and spoke with area residents about the shooting.

The intersection of Jake Alexander Boulevard near Ivy Street:

A landlord, Mr. Perry, owning an apartment property on Jake Alexander Boulevard near the firefight, reported  a tenant’s apartment was struck by bullets.  One bullet hit 3 feet away from the tenant while another slug shattered a window.  A ceiling was also bullet scarred.  The landlord has since repaired the apartment.

A 14 year-old  juvenile reported an assault inflicting serious injury other dangerous weapon in the 800 block of Ivy  Street.
